Acoustics Requirements Translation Model (ARTM)
Convert an ARTM (Acoustics Requirements Translation Model) running on a PC DOS based system under MS Windows 3.1 to a Silicon Graphics Unix Workstation and develop user's manual. Upgrade ARTM (export data to plotting program, set default directories, and update the user's manual.)

The region management consisted of developing the basic input and output screen region management functionality. An 8-bit display was developed for the rendering of graphics. This 8-bit display translated into an available pool of 256 colors. The porting consisted of porting to the new PPC860 architecture, implementing an application layer between the server and the thin client, and developing the graphics component to display graphical elements on the screen for visual presentation.

Solution: Port the ARTM application running on a PC DOS based system under MS Windows 3.1 to a Silicon Graphics Unix Workstation. Resolved all operating system specifics conflicts using cross platform development tools.

Tools: C++, Zinc, Microsoft Windows 3.1 and Unix
