ooh!Media Application

The ooh!Media LED Sign Player is used to show messages and schedules on signs. It also provides tools for reading graphics files, font processing and reading RSS data. The ooh!Media LED Sign Player works under Windows CE and Windows XP operating systems. An Emulator program module is used to emulate playing messages or schedules in ooh!Media application.

The ooh!Media LED Sign Player can work in the following modes:

  • Emulation mode. The emulation mode is used to emulate the playing of messages and schedules under control of the ooh!Media application.
  • Real time playing mode. In the Real time playing mode the ooh!Media LED Sign Player displays messages or schedules on sign.

Solution : PSA's tasks for this project were to develop the player application to display content on signs.

Tools : C++ and Microsoft Visual Studio.

Electronic Messaging Application

e.Message is a small application that sits on the desktop computer and displays music driven animations and encourages users to integrate text messages into them. The user then can send the messages with dancing missives over the Internet. 

Solution : Development consisted of a graphical user interface for the application. The graphical user interface requirements involved developing buttons and dialog boxes to allow for creation of electronic messages.

Media Logging Application

The Media logging application is a film editing tool and was designed as both stand-alone and a library. .

Solution : Using Zinc, PSA designed and developed the GUI to run on Windows NT platform.  Zinc was used to allow for future plans to provide cross platform support. The application included graphical sorting of film clips, classifying tools, and timeline based picture and sound placement tools for rough editing.

Scribe Report Writer

Assist in porting a Scribe report writer application for Windows operating systems from Zinc 3.5 to Zinc 4.0.

Solution : Evaluate the difference between Zinc 3.5 and Zinc 4.0 and make necessary coding modifications to the application to keep the same look and feel.

UPS Support System Program

The Uninterruptible Power Supply program required application maintenance to fix GPF error and program difficulties.

Solution : Correct window configuration problems when switching windows. Resolve GPF's when minimizing and restoring windows. Change display color of windows.

Community Application

The Community application is a client-server application.

Solution : Design and implementation of a cross platform GUI for a client-server application that was originally written in Microsoft Visual Basic.

Internationalization Support Project

Assist in adding Zinc Unicode support to an environment using PharLap 32 bit TNT DOS Extender with Microsoft C++ Compiler to the ZAF 4.2 Engine and 4.2 DOS key.

Solution : Using Zincs' Unicode functionality, PSA incorporated the support for internationalization within the target environment

Data Analysis Software

The Data from field engineer's hand held control modules are imported into the Data Analysis Software via modem or direct RS232 connection. Once the data is imported a variety of reports and analyses can be generated and performed. 

Solution : Assisted in the conversion of the environmental data analysis software from DOS platform using Zinc 4.2 to Microsoft Windows 95 platform using Zinc 5.2. PSA converted the Zinc class library to the newer version and resolved incompatible elements. Ported the application from DOS to Windows 95 by resolving Zinc portability, platform dependent code, third party library issues.
