Project Description:The project was to develop a desktop application which is capable of managing remote configuring, monitoring, and finding the Serial Server Device. The Serial Server Device is a conversion device which converts Ethernet packet to Serial data and vice versa.The device can be accessed and configured via Ethernet port or from the serial port. The Serial Server Manager is also developed to check and download firmware from the Internet and upload it to the device. The installation software allows setting up appropriate driver for the device as well as managing virtual serial ports associated with the device. |
